We complain of losing our phone, misplacing a checkbook, or that pile on the kitchen table. In response to that, we joke about clutter and disorganization. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Clutter (visual, olfactory, tactile) overstimulates our minds, causing our senses to work overtime.
You may think there’s something wrong with you because you don’t do well at multi-tasking. Consequently, you become even more stressed (I can’t find time to go to the gym, I’m too tired to make dinner, I can’t sleep).
